Communication is going to be Vital, our main form of releasing news & updates will be this website. Alternative ways are the following;
- Email: Please be sure to check the box in your registration for emails & notifications. Make sure you enter the email that you check often to ensure that you will receive our Newsletters & updates (changes to the calendar will push out email notifications).
- Crossbar app: Please make sure you player downloads the NEW crossbar app, these will be used by the coaches to to communicate with their players about ALL practice, game and game info.
- Social Media: News will be pushed out to our SM outlets, please click the logos on the main page to follow.
Coaches will primarily communicate with the players through the crossbar app, so be sure your player downloads the app.
The Booster Club will primarily communicate via email and the News Feed of this website, Please make sure you bookmark us.
Player dues: Dues must be paid in full at registration or select the payment plan option.
Any player that brings in $1000 in sponsorships will have their dues waived.
Refunds: Players that are removed from the team for any reason ( grades, disciplinary reasons, coach discretion, injury etc..) or they choose to no longer participate will not be entitled to a refund.
Fundraising: To keep costs down for our families we will be doing alot of fundraising and could use your help to spread the word! Please visit the Fundraising page for active fundraisers.
Spirit Gear: Please visit our spirit gear page for all active opportunities to purchase some BTWHS Lacrosse branded items.
Uniforms: Uniforms are the property of the team and must be cleaned & returned at the end of the season. A $50 fee will be assessed for any dirty uniforms. Full replacement cost will be charged for any lost or damaged uniforms.
Equipment: Players are responsible for the purchase of their own gear. However there may be availability of loaner gear on a first come first serve basis (once full payment of dues is made). All borrowed gear must be returned at the end of the season or full replacement cost will be charged to the player.
New gear can be purchased through Bardown, they have gear packages available at a discounted rate for those new to the sport or in need of all new gear. Boys/Girls Helmets can be purchased through Bardown at a discounted rate. There are several other options for gear purchases - Dicks, Lacrosse Unlimited or Lacrosse Monkey to name a few.
Donations will be accepted of any unused/grown out of gear and can be given to coaches.
Practice: Directly After school. Please make sure your player is signed up for the crossbar app for any last minute changes in their practice schedule. If a player needs to miss practice for any reason it needs to be cleared with the coach. Practices will end promptly according to the scheduled times on the calendar.
Roster: Tryouts are mandatory for all players, including returning players; the number of players will be determined by the coaches, as well as determination of Varsity or JV. An email or app message will be sent to the players making Varsity/JV after tryouts.
Player to Parent Communication: Players should know all details(time, place,etc..) in regards to games, practices, meetings, etc.. and should be able to provide this information to parents. There will be alot of information delivered at the beginning and end of practice, if it is missed players have the ability and are responsible to check with other players or Team captains to obtain any pertinent information. These young adults will be expected to keep their parents informed.
Support: The largest support comes from attending the games and cheering for the players win or lose. Attendance is everything so please share the schedule with friends, family, etc to come our and watch. Invite sponsors and introduce people to the sport. The more fan participation we receive the better the program's success. Team colors and school pride are huge support system in the stands. Please help where you can and get involved. With the holidays, lacrosse gear and team logo items make great gifts.
Game Schedule: We will post a game schedule to the events calendar as soon as it is finalized. Changes will be pushed out through email so please make sure that you are signed up for notifications.
Volunteering: Each family must sign up for a minimum of 2 times (or other form of volunteering). Please visit the Volunteer page for all upcoming Volunteer opportunities. Families can sign up to donate a concession stand meal, an item to sell at the concession stand, this will satisfy your volunteer obligation. (ie: BBQ sandwiches, chili(crockpot meal), walking tacos, burgers. Please let the Booster Club Board know if you would like to donate a meal for Game day. ***After each game it is crucial that the team volunteering that game night take care of the trash around the stadium. It is our responsibility to leave the stadium clean.
Team Meals: Team meals will be provided for ALL away games. If you would like to volunteer to donate or make a meal for a team please sign up on the volunteer page, and notify the BC of what you will be providing. This will satisfy your volunteer obligation.
Player Drinks: We are asking each player to bring in a case of water and case of a sports drink(gatorade, body armour, powerade) before Jan25th. We will post more information on collection dates and times on the website.
